The preselection phase for the 19th edition of the George Enescu International Competition has successfully concluded. Among the 555 applicants who applied, a distinguished group of 149 musicians has been selected to advance to the first round. This includes 50 violinists, 50 pianists, and 49 cellists who will now prepare to compete in Bucharest, Romania, from September 1 to 22, 2024.

Each Section Secretary has individually informed the selected musicians of their results via email. The selected musicians are required to confirm their participation in the Enescu Competition by June 21st.
