Composition rules


Orchestral scores should not exceed:
| 14 violins I | 12 violins II | 10 violas | 8 cellos | 6 double-basses|
| 3 flutes | 3 clarinets | 3 oboes | 3 bassoons |
| 4 french horns | 3 trumpets | 3 trombones | 1 tuba |
| timpans + 3 percussion groups |
| harp | piano | celesta | glockenspiel | harmonium | synthesizer |


Compositions for a group of 1 to 10 performers, with or without vocal participation.
The duration of a piece for each section must be not less than 10 minutes and not more than 40 minutes.
The scores shall be submitted under a motto.
The compositions shall be sent in an envelope before June 1, 2016, under the same motto which appears on the score, to the following address:

Any score or envelope which shows the name of the competitor will be disqualified.
On the envelope accompanying the work will appear only the Motto.
The envelope will contain:
– Name of the author
– Complete address, phone no and e-mail address
– Place and date of birth
– Copy of birth certificate/ID/Passport
– Short biography (date birth, studies, competitions, recitals, awards)
– Two recent photos in digital format

The submitted compositions shall not have been performed in public.
The compositions will be evaluated by an international jury.
The winners will be announced after the ruling of the Jury and will be contacted by the Competition Secretariat.
