Less than three weeks left for joining the Enescu Competition 2016! Register till June 1, and follow famous conductor Lawrence Foster’s advice for young artists, to give life to their dream of becoming worldwide acclaimed musicians:
“If I can convey one word to any aspiring young artist it is curiosity. This trait is what Enescu and Menuhin shared in their lives. Without curiosity there is no personal progress. Most important this means familiarity with all relevant history, poetry and literature. There is no Beethoven without Schiller, Schubert without Goethe, Schuman without Heine, and Tchaikovsky without Pushkin etc. Widen all horizons! This would be the message of Enescu and his great student, Menuhin!”, writes conductor Lawrence Foster in a special message sent to the organizers of the Enescu Competition, marking the importance of the contest and the Yehudi Menuhin’s centenary.
Young artists up to 35 years old are invited to register in the competition due between 3 and 25 September, in Bucharest, Romania, and perform in front of juries comprising 20 famous artists, within a competition organized by international standards.
“What is very special about the Enescu Competition is that it manages to transfer George Enescu’s genius in the efforts of the young competitors to interpret at the highest standards.”
Alan Weiss (USA), professor and former Jury Member of the Enescu Competition 2014
