Tian Tian was born in Qingdao in 1987,and began studying music with his father at a young age. He is currently a PhD candidate under the guidance of well-known composer Professor Wenchen Qin at the Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM).
His works have been performed in Beijing Modern Music Festival, Central Ballet Workshop, and Plucked String Instrument Festival held by the CCOM. In 2013,his symphonic poem “Ring on August” won first prize in Beijing Modern Music Festival Symphonic Music Grand Prix and the 4th Young Composer Project（Jury：Kaija Saariaho）, his chamber opera “The Triple Prism” was selected in“Chamber Opera Project of China”and“Shanghai International Art Festival”，and was performed in Beijing, Shanghai and Xi’an for several times. In addition, his ballet “Ji” was recognized as an “Excellent Work” by the Ministry of Culture in 2012. In 2010, his chamber work “Dhyana” was selected as part of the Chamber Music Project.
